I was in love with the light on this super fun engagement shoot with Samantha + Jacob that started in Balboa Park and ended in the awesome The Rose Wine Pub in South Park. So much color and depth, and this fun couple really shines through it all. Samantha + Jacob will have an Alamo wedding in Northern California next June. Cheers to the two of you! And a BIG thanks to The Rose for their delicious wine and for letting us have fun with photos in their venue!               I had only driven though the Imperial Valley Sand Dunes a couple of times before but I always wished I could stop and spend time taking photos there. So when Eryn came to me wanting portraits that were in touch with her more ethnic roots I was immediately inspired when the dunes popped into my head. The dunes proved to be a stunning spot for artistic bridal portraits. The soft light that the desert offers was captivating and I was immediately in the peaceful Zen mode I get into when I shoot. So in love with the moment and the light. These portraits are now some of my favorite images I have ever taken. Eryn looked beautiful against the wave-like dunes. In the second image she is almost a natural part of the scenery, like a ghost, barely there but critical to the beauty of the image. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect subject!              no comments I had the privilege of shooting Exquisite Weddings Magazine‘s Fall 2012 launch party at the trendy and beautiful Palomar Hotel. It was an amazing event thrown by the Exquisite Weddings team that was full of San Diego’s most sought after wedding vendors. Models displayed gorgeous dresses and bouquets for brides to draw inspiration from. Some of the dresses were from The White Flower , a bridal boutique where even I got my own dream wedding dress. It truly was a beautiful event full of inspiration for brides!                                   Here are some of the vendors in the photos: no comments I wandered around the los penasquitos canyon with Mitch and Taylor for their engagement photos on a gorgeous Fall day in San Diego. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful background or lighting. We wanted to go for a more rustic, country look that would reflect their wedding since they will be married next September at the Leo Carrillo Ranch!                no comments Ashleigh + Collin had a beautiful Fiesta themed wedding on the Coronado Beach this September. The flowers were the most beautiful I have seen in a long time and contrasted nicely with the gorgeous beach. The bridesmaids’ different colored dresses were also a touch that helped this wedding to be so awesomely colorful. The wedding reception was held at Marina Village where traditional baja fish tacos were served and they danced to an all 80′s band all night! Breathtaking! I adore the veil. A good start to a good life… Paul + Bhavneet came all the way from Canada for a convention and to take their engagement photos in San Diego where Paul proposed to Bhavneet. We had a blast wondering around the San Diego Gaslamp area for their engagement photos and then ended in the Balboa Park area. Fall lighting in San Diego is so beautiful and I’m so happy we got the perfect San Diego weather for these two. Thanks for such an amazing, colorful, and fun shoot Paul + Bhavneet!

I was so excited to shoot their maternity photos in Ramon. Seeing couples go from engagement shoots, to weddings, to maternity shoots is such a special experience for me. Being able to document the growth of their family is truly priceless. Baby Jake will be here in December and I cannot wait to meet him!
